Red Sox Nation!
Here are a few photos from last night's W-I-N-N-I-N-G game! Woooooooooooo Hooooooooooo. Go sox. The excitement was unbelieveable and although I was not there personally, Brian and Brendan were there and they would call with the cheering so loud I couldn't hear him at all! So here are a few great shots that Brian got last night. The team, the crowd, and my buddy "Wally" the team mascot. My favorite though, is Brendan cozying up to gals.
Believe!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank goodness for some small miracles in life. Brian was so excited on Friday night when he came home from work. The president of the bank thanked Brian for all the hard work he's been putting in at the office by handing over 2 tickets to Game 7!!!! It could not have come at a better time. Brendan has been doing excellent at school (getting all A's on his tests and we got his MCAS results which stated he scored "over proficient" so he really deserved a special day with his dad. I love it when the boys spend time together and to hear them laugh just makes me smile. So I made them promise that amongst all the craziness at the game, they would take photos. I could not believe the shots they got! So here is my favorite photo of them together, sharing a dad/son moment at the Red Sox Game.......GO RED SOX! World Series 2007 here we come! Guess I won't have to beat Schilling with his other sock after all huh?

How would I know if it's the Greatest Show on Earth?
Today I took Samantha and Delaney to the Barnum & Bailey's Circus of Dreams at the Boston Garden. They were so excited they could barely contain themselves. We met my cousin, Dawn, and her daughter (my godbaby) Jamie at Nana Yola's and carpooled in.....the girls were thrilled. We got there, our seats were great! The circus started, the lights went down low and wouldn't ya know they decide to send out a big dragon on wheels, snorting smoke! Ok, Delaney lost it....it actually looked as if the thing was coming right at us! So I calmed her down after repeated chants of "I want to go home now, I want to go home now" and then the strong man comes out. They decide to shoot a cannon ball out of a cannon into his stomach. Ok, if the dragon didn't make the kid lose it, the cannon did! This all happened within the first 10 minutes so of course I sat the remainder of the two hours in the lobby putting in occasional "peeks" through the curtain to which she would turn around and run! So we sat, had ice cream, bought a souvenir and played until it was all over. Thank goodness Dawn came with us or she would have had to sit through the thing screaming because there was no way I was getting Samma out of there. She loved it. So they say it's the Greatest Show on Earth. Hmmmmm. I wouldn't know. I never saw it.............*sniff sniff, sob sob*
So here are a few photos of Delaney showing me the mean, ugly, dragon face and of course, enjoying some ice cream.....in the lobby.

Short but sweet visit
Today we had a nice visit from Uncle Tony and Auntie Diane all the way from Atlanta, Georgia! Yay....it was so nice to see them although the visit was only a couple of hours. Delaney and Natalie had fun playing with Uncle T and Auntie D once they fully warmed up to them. I wish they could have stayed a bit longer, but we look forward to seeing them again over the next few months. So hurry up and come back! We need some chinese food, devil dogs and a bottle of wine!

Oops......I forgot Delaney on her scooter!
Here she is, my crazy baby riding on the scooter........and she's chewing gum at the same time. LOL.
Congratulations to Brendan!
Last Friday Brendan woke up and asked me if I was going to the assembly. What assembly? My goodness I almost forgot those started! The Hollis School assembly is done once per month and the students are given awards for their achievements and also receive "caught being good" which also get acknowledged. So I got all the girls up, dressed, and a diaper bag packed to run out the door for the 9:30 a.m. assembly. Brendan received an award for high achievement in Reading. I was so proud of that boy of mine.
Congratulations Brendan. We love you and keep up the good work.
Here is a short video of Brendan receiving his award.

What a weekend!
Yes, it's Thursday and I'm just now posting about last weekend! Wow.......sometimes the time just gets away from me.
Over the past few days we've been running around like crazy around here. Samma has been trying to learn how to ride her two wheeler only to say she's nervous and not bother trying. So I told her I'm not going to rush her into it and then when she's ready to tell me. Sunday at 6 p.m. she came up to me and said "mom, I'm ready"....are you kidding me? Right now? So Grandma insisted I drop everything because Samma was "ready" and we took her outside although I was very, very skeptical at this point. On the bike she went and a little shove and this kid was riding like a pro. The girl has lived on her bike since then so I've been outside a lot lately (hence less time posting on my blog). Anyhoot, I'm attaching a video of the crazy daisy now.......People keep asking me how long she's been riding........she's a nut on that thing! I don't think Della is that far behind on her scooter. I'll let you be the judge of that one.....

More photos of Ty and Della
Here are a few more photos of Tyler and Della. They have so much in common! They both love Diego (as you can see, they are quite content watching the show together on Della's couch), they both love snacks (mmmm pretzels and strawberries) and.......
(watching Diego in the living room)

They both love wearing their helmets around the house. How special! LOL. Of course, they also have one more big thing in common. Vocabulary. These two talk so much that they make me shake! Yada yada yada, yackita yackita yackita.........blah blah blah. My goodness. They don't stop talking!!!!!!!!!
Della gets a visit from her favorite cousin, Tyler
Delaney got a visit from her favorite cousin, Tyler today and they had so much fun. They ran around the yard playing on the swingset, up in the tree house, in their cars, etc. It was so nice to see Tyler and Della really enjoyed the visit. Thanks Ty Guy for coming over and making our day so much fun :) Please come over again soon.

Dance like no one's watching........
My girls love music. Absolutely adore it actually. So I think it's great that I turn music on, tell them to "shake it" and they go crazy. Here's a few great dance like no one's watching moments from the Welch household. Enjoy.

Happy October 1st
Finally, the cooler weather is coming. Right now in Braintree it is a cool 41 degrees and will be getting warmer but not too warm. Today's high is estimated to be 69 degrees and I couldn't be happier.
Here is me, this morning, drinking my HOT cup of coffee enjoying the morning air sitting on my couch.
Happy October 1st everyone
An Uneventful Weekend
We really didn't do much of anything this weekend. It was nice actually. The kids had soccer and soccer photos on Saturday and I took Natalie with me to the gym. Sunday we just kind of hung around and had a roast beef dinner which I cooked in my new crock pot (yummy). The weather, however, was fabulous and I was excited that the temperatures are going down. I am such a New England girl and I hate the hot, humid weather. Bring on the snow!
On Saturday night, Samantha, Delaney, Lacey & I decided to have a girl's night out. Something very simple but fun. We went to the mall to buy Halloween costumes. I did not take photos as I did not want to spoil the surprise of Halloween, but I will tell you that there is no theme and the kids could not be on any further ends of the spectrum when it comes to picking costumes. It was fun and I enjoyed just being with the two middle girls, not chasing a baby around because we all know how hyper Natalie is.........
Here are a few photos of this weekend.........Samma cuddling with her daddy, Natalie hanging out on daddy's pillow butt, and the girls with crazy hair.
