Grandma & The Inflatable Witch

Delaney, Grandma & The Witch

Imagine the surprise of my little anklebiters when Grandma stopped by tonight. They haven't seen her much lately so the excitement was incredible. She had dinner with us and brought them a special Halloween present- a blow up inflatable witch for outside the house. So here are some photos of the kids hanging out with Grandma and the Inflatable Witch! We love you grandma and it was great to see you!!! Muaaaaah

To Grandma, From Della

Delaney wanted me to post this photo for Grandma because she wanted to let her know that although its not her first day of school, she is working on the letter "P" and "Purple" begins with P so she wore a "P"urple Outfit today :) Love you Grandma. Love Delaney

First Days of School

Ok, I have been slacking here! I did take photos on the first day of school, but the kids all started a different day so I wanted to wait until I had all of the photos to post them. Natalie is still home with me, but the others are off and about and I'm truly enjoying my time with MiMi. Looking forward to spending the Fall with my beautiful baby out walking and enjoying the leaves falling and the crisp morning air. So here they are, the first photos of school! Enjoy and I'll be back this weekend with some lovely Fall-ish photos!

To my mom, with love.....

Of course, she has been on me about changing my blog. Why shouldn't she right? So I really havent' had too much to report because of this all-consuming studying process, but I will take a time out to post some fabulous photos for my mom.
My lovely niece Luca came to Boston for a visit (although for a sad reason, but nonetheless she was still here! I couldn't help but absolutely fall madly head over heals in love with her and want her back.......quickly!!!!!
back to studying for now, but I just wanted to make my momma smile......I love you mom and I'll try to update this more often! Love you!

I know, I know, its about time

I haven't had much of a chance to post lately with all the studying and whatnot going on over here. The summer is in full swing and the kids are loving it! The lake, the beach, the parks, and BBQs. The kids are loving it and I'm just happy that the weather has been cooperating this week. Its been sunny and breezy and just, well, nice.

Last week we did the concerts on the lake, and went to Jamie's party over the weekend. the kids had a blast. Brendan took such good care of Natalie in the pool (it was so adorable to see how protective he was of her) and Sam and Jamie had so much fun together (cousins & best friends)....Delaney played with the dogs for the most part (she is usually petrified, but I swear she is only scared when Natalie starts screaming) and Natalie (who was supposed to stay home, but went after everyone promised they'd keep the dogs on leashes and under strict supervision) had a ball with her godfather, Cleber. It is adorable how they just love each other! He was even jumping like a bunny across the lawn with her. Cute stuff.

So here are a few photos from the weekend. I hope you enjoy!

The day has finally come- the day I have worked so hard for! I am so happy to be done with school and have my nursing degree! This has been a long time coming and I am so happy that my mom, dad, husband, cousin Catherine and all my kiddos were there to be my cheering squad. It was an awesome day and I am now onto my next obstacle....the boards!

Recital Part II

The flowers were a huge hit at the recital. I was being stopped left and right by people asking where I got such beautiful recital flowers...so grandma beware...I sent them to you for next year....
Here is a photo of Delaney literally kissing her flowers. She loves them so much and has them displayed on her dresser for all to see!

Delaney's Dance Recital

The recital went great! At first I was a bit worried because Delaney fell asleep in the car on the way there and when she woke up she was in a nasty mood! She didn't want anything to do with the recital and clung to my backstage. Of course, the teacher was in a panic because she said "Delaney you are my leader" what am I going to do if you don't get up there! lmao. Finally, a few girls came over and started talking to Delaney and I told bribed her with dairy queen! Once she heard that, all was well and she started to get excited about dancing......so here she is, performing at her best....her dancing friends did a great job as well and looked like they had so much fun!!!

The bossy dancing queen.....

Delaney's dance recital is tonight but here are the photos of my dear little dancing diva at her rehearsal on Friday. She was trying to dance and follow instructions from her teacher in the front row and when her dancing friends weren't listening, boy oh boy did she get right up in their personal space and tell them what to do! So here she is, my bossy dancing diva. I cannot wait for tonight to see the performance again. She made me laugh so hard that I cried!

Its been a while....

since I posted here but things have been crazier than usual. I have officially finished nursing school and graduate on May 9th which is so exciting it nearly brings me to tears. It has been a long time coming and I am glad that this part of the journey is behind me. The last few days I have spent relaxing and enjoying doing things with the kids- Castle Island, Sunset Lake, Watson Park. It has been so nice to just spend time and do things with them and not have to worry about what paper is due and what test is coming. So a big sigh of relief on that front.

This week consists of picture day for Della on Monday- she has her dancing recital on May 12th. Then my graduation dinner on Tuesday night. Baseball and Softball practices in between. Rehearsal for dance on Friday, birthday parties, graduation and mother's day all in one weekend.
I think I better enjoy my down time today! This will be it for a while I think...

A few days before Easter and all through the house.....

things are a bit hectic but hey, who cares! This year I am a bit saddened that we are not having a big family Easter dinner, but lives are busy and I understand that. I have an exam on Monday and both Mom & Dad are working late into the afternoon/early evening. I will be spending the majority of my day studying but it's ok because I'm almost finished! April 27th is the last day of Laboure (I hope!)-so this year, a small ham will be tossed into the oven, and I will color the eggs and have an egg cracking contest that will make Mema proud!

So spring is springing and the kids are excited, but I think I'm more excited for the break from anything academic. I am looking forward to long walks with the kids, hanging out at Castle Island with Jen and her kids and just enjoying myself! I am truly looking forward to going to the island and letting Natalie run and chase the birds....long walks....hanging out with my husband, my best friend!

So here is to a happy spring, the flowers in bloom and some great family quality time!

The weather is getting warmer.......

The weather here is teasing us in Boston, slowing creeping up only to go back down. However, we are experiencing some great days and today will be another. Here are a few photos from the last few days of the younger girls out playing in the yard. It sure is nice to see them running around laughing and playing soccer. Natalie is sporting her new "bang" cut because lord knows I can never see her! Now I can see those pretty baby blues!

So it's another nice day today. Not sure how long it will last....but I'm going to go out and enjoy it!

Congratulations Brendan!

Last night Brendan had the Dave Ryan Shootout in Braintree. Living up to his reputation as being one of the best shooters (I'm not bragging but damn this boy is good). In one minute he got 31 baskets!!!!!

So here he is holding his 2nd place trophy! We are so proud....and were there to actually see him win it this year (last year we dropped him off and he won 1st place....). Good job Brendan! You deserve it for all your hard work!

Dinner at Bugaboo......

On wednesday night, Christy, Cindy, my mom and I all went to Bugaboo creek for dinner - it was much needed as we haven't seen much of each other lately with all of our crazy schedules. We talked about Robin's shower (details to follow in invites next week!) and then we had some goofy fun. My mom wore a low cut shirt and was telling us in one photo (below) that the bottoms have polar bears on em (roaaaaar). Then Mom & Cindy hung out with the indian at the front of the restaurant. Last but not least is Christy & I hanging out with Mr Moose! We had so much fun and have to do it again real soon- every month girls. Every month!
It was fun and I love you all!
