How do you kill Winter boredom?????

The kids were getting antsy so my niece, Lacey & I took Delaney & Natalie to the Hanover Mall for a little mechanical bull-riding session! The girls were yelling yee haw and I cannot even tell ya how many quarters we went through! delaney then found Ronald McDonald and thought it would be "awesome" to sit on his lap! LOL winter boredom.....*sigh* they had fun, but of course, Delaney is used to the huge South Shore Plaza and not the smaller Hanover Mall. Her question when we came home? Hey mom, when are we going to the "real" mall.....its starting already!

check out my boy.......

I know the majority of my posts are of the girls and that's only because my boy is a "tween" right now and is always out with friends or doing his own thing (no photos please mooooooooooom)

but this is priceless. Brendan had a game yesterday against Milton Academy and I gave Brian the camera.......reluctantly he took it (guys hate taking photos)- anyway, Brendan gets the ball, Brian hits record and well, see for yourself! My kid is awesome. Brendan is in the blue & white jersey, #22

Good job to my son on a good shot and thanks to my hubby for taking the camera....I love my boys!

It's in the genes...........

basketball that is. Brendan found his "nitch" a few years ago and now Samma has found hers. The two of them absolutely love the sport and Brendan is having fun showing Samma some tricks......how cute are they?

Thank you Auntie Claus!

Today Christy came over (it was nice to see you sis) to bring Brendan one of his belated Christmas presents- it had to be special ordered. She asked what he wanted for christmas and Auntie Christy Claus once again delivered. Let me just say he came home in a nasty mood, fighting with Samantha, and so when I told him he had a present, he forgot all his problems, opened his gift, and let out a loud "YEAH"....It's the Lebron James jersey. So here he is Auntie Christy, in all his glory. You made his day! Thanks!

So much to look forward to in 2009

This year has so many things going on that its going to be a good year for everyone! I can just feel it. I'm in my last semester of nursing school, expected to graduate the day before Mother's Day. Brendan is graduating from elementary school and going into his first year of middle school. My mom is taking care of all those plaguing health issues and I'm in a workout routine for the first time in a while. Joey is going to be christened and Im his godmother. Robin is having my first "Vaicius-side" niece or nephew for which I am so excited about. As Samantha's teacher says "things will be fine in 2009"

So in celebration of this year, I say Happy New Year to everyone......for all those who have supported me in my nursing school journey, thank you so much.....it means more than you know. You know who you are. And a special thanks to my mother, my best friend for all the times you have talked me down from the ledge! I am blessed to have you in my life and Im glad we are so close. To Katie, Billy & Lacey- what would I do without you three? You have made things so much simpler for me and I am forever grateful. To my bestie Jen- you are just awesome....like a sister. You have always been so honest and so supportive. You know just what to say and when. You tell me when I'm right (I love that part....) but then also know when to tell me that I'm so wrong......I can always count on you. All my mommy friends- Colette, Margaret, Donna M., and the two Cathys.....what would we ever do without the mommy babysitting exchange services? Mommies unite- and we rock! to my Lovebug girls............we all always here for each other- no matter how far apart we truly are in distance......you gals are my confidantes and its so nice to share every single day of our lives together. I love you all..

There are so many more, but that's just a few for now. Mommyhood is calling me........and I must respond!

New Years Eve 2009 - Part II

Here it is...part II of New Years Eve...I'll take a few more tonight, but I just thought i'd share how excited everyone was last night to get going on the New year's festivities! Happy & Healthy 2009 everyone!!!!!!!

Happy New Year 2009

The New Year started off with a blast of snow bringing good ole Boston a Nor'Easter......it was awesome to look at, but the winds were brutal and it was quite cold (not that I'm complaining....I am more of a cold person....don't like the hot weather at all)....a true New Englander. So I drove in the snow which had zero visibility and picked up my sister-in-law and chinese food. Brian drove to West Bridgewater to pick up my nieces Brittney & Cortney who love to hang out with us cuz we're the cool aunt and uncle.........right??? So we sat around and had chinese food, put on our party hats and had pillow fights. Of course, I let all my kids stay up late for some fun but only one of them (brendan) made it until midnight. Natalie was the first to fall asleep at 9:00, then Delaney at 10:30, followed by me (I fell asleep trying to get her to sleep). Sam was going to wake me up at 11:59 she said so I wouldn't miss it. Next thing I know I'm waking up and its 3 a.m. and everyone is snoozing! Brian fell asleep at 11:30 and so didn't Sam and Rosie.......So Brendan, Britt, Cort, and Victoria made it!!!!!

Tonight we are going to have a new years ham dinner with our champagne flutes and some apple juice for the girls and some vino for mama.....beer for Daddy. We'll take lots of photos with our new years hats so stay tuned!
