Update on Natalie

Natalie's endoscopy was scheduled for 7:30 a.m. and when I didn't hear from Brian until 10:30 I called the hospital and spoke to the liason nurse. She said Natalie was in recovery and then she transferred me to recovery where I got to speak to Brian. She did very well and although we won't have the "final" results of all the biopsies until next Friday, the doctor did say she had some irritation of her esophogus and stomach lining, but he could find nothing "major". As of next Friday, we will get the final reading on everything and we are thinking it is just something that is controllable by a stronger reflux medication :) This baby will have some serious behavioral issues to sort out as she will be getting ferberized as long as all the testing comes back on a positive note. Wheeeeeeeew.

So thanks for all your thoughts & prayers. She did break out in hives this afternoon and I had to page the doctor because I didn't know if she could have Benadryl with the anesthetic she was given. Luckily I was able to and although very itchy, she is hanging in there and trying to be her "fun" self.
Personally she should be given anesthesia more often........she took so many naps today! LOL

Glad to hear she's doing well! It sounds like she has what I had....the wearing away at the esophagus. Poor girl, has so many interesting Vaicius ailments to look forward to!
