Wednesday was the first day of 5th grade for Brendan and 1st grade for Sam. They are both very excited, but for different reasons. Brendan is excited because he is a "high & mighty" 5th grader and will be going into middle school next year! Samantha is excited because she is in 1st grade, full day, and loves the new teacher she got.
The only complaint I have is that Brendan does not want hugs, kisses, heck....he doesn't even want me to walk near the bus stop anymore. He walks Sam down. He says he is embarrassed. Where did my little boy who didn't want to leave my side go???? He wouldn't even take photos for the 1st day of school....I had to trick him to get one or two and bribe him to get another. Wow, are you getting empty nest syndrome yet, or are you fully enjoying it???? And they all get embarrassed at some point (even you did, lol)....
No I am not getting empty nest syndrome. I am truly enjoying it! It's nice to spend time with the youngest Welchkin......
