I took Delaney to Wal-Mart today to buy a few things that we needed. Now, if you know Della, you know that she's my "cheap" kid. She'll go into a store and ask for M&M's or crackers or lately her favorite is pretzels. She asked me for a $.99 lip gloss last week and the week before it was a purple nailpolish. She'll play with the toys in the toy section, don't get me wrong. When we get to the register, she'll say "put it back, I no want it" and she'll hand it over. So when she screamed Shrek and nearly jumped out of the carriage, I couldn't believe it. She wanted the Shrek pillow more than anything and she made it loud and clear! So here she is, with her beloved Shrek. We even put a baseball hat on his head so he could look like one of the Welch homies!
