The Baby Girl "Rite of Passage"

Ok, we all how know crazy I am with this girl thing. Please don't get me wrong, I love having Brendan...he's awesome and he is such a boy......but there is nothing more fun than being a girl. I've always played dress up, done nails and toes and loved handbags and shoes. I love that I have 3 girls to share that with. Well, except for Samma the tom boy. However, when I tell her how cute her sisters are wearing dresses, she will go throw one on just to please me. So we all know that when the girls were about 3 months old I got them to get their ears pierced. First Samma, then Della. So when the doctor told me to hold off on Natalie's ears due to her allergies, I was just heartbroken. I thought long and hard about it. I was going to wait. I was. It was then it hit me. I could no longer wait...if she has a reaction to 14 karat gold, she would be devastated for life and her future husband would kill me because he'd have to buy everything platinum. So I tried......with the thought that if she had a reaction, I'd pop her some Benadryl and take out the earrings. So far, so good. Here's my princess with her birth stone earrings ...she cried for a second. That's it. I think Samma looked so scared for her and she even put her hands over her ears so she wouldn't have to hear her cry. Good girl. Now she's got some bling. And her mama just couldn't be any more proud! She wears them well.
